Operation Christmas Child

It’s that time of year again. It surprises me every November because generally I’m not thinking that much about Christmas yet, aside from the hundreds of little candles I’ve been making for Glen Eyrie.

Each year we do one box per girl. We do the box for another girl the same age as our girls. So tonight I was at Walmart picking out socks, underwear, toothbrushes, and toys for little girls ages 6, 4, 2, and 1.

I actually do enjoy doing this and love that the girls get excited about it too. And it’s nice that both our church and Maddie’s cottage school are collection sites for the program this year so I don’t have to drive all over town tracking down some place to take the box(es) like I did 4 years ago. So I’m off to pack the stuffing out of these boxes. Wassail!
