We hightailed it out of town this morning for a quiet day on the farm. And it has been a lovely day thus far. On our way we stopped just on the Missouri side of the river for a boatload of white trash fireworks. In almost 10 years of marriage, I’m not sure I can say I’ve ever seen Craig giddy before. Let me tell you, as he came back to the van with his arms overflowing with goodies, he was giddy. He can’t wait until it gets dark. Neither can the girls. Now we’ll just pray we don’t burn down the cornfield.
Speaking of Craig, in addition to his fetish for cheap fireworks, he also has some thoughtful things to say about the 4th of July, so check it out if you get the chance. It’s nice to have someone in our family writing posts with actual content these days…
Hope your 4th is fun, your fireworks light up, and your land stays safe.
