Sunday Night

We met some new seminary folks last night and had a lot of fun. We’d been given the names of six “single” guys from the seminary to invite over for dinner. One of them couldn’t come and another one was actually married and had a son! It was a super mistake because I really enjoyed meeting Kristen and Max in addition to the guys on the list.

Last night kicked off our “Let’s Invite Friends Over for Dinner Every Single Night This Week!” week. Should be a fun, if not overly extroverted week around here…

that sounds fun. not sure i could handle that whole week with people over every night…BUT, i do love those “theme” weeks. i have my own conveniently scheduled “turn your motor off” week every year. should be interesting this year, with the three kids. (and i don’t wait ’til winter, either)

Thanks for the encouragement, Megan. We so often say, “we really need to have ____ over for dinner”, and then never get around to doing it. We really like our alone time, but it’s good to be nudged every now and then to break out of that rut. And, once we do have people over, we always enjoy it and are glad we did it. Hope it turns out to be a good week for you guys!

Thanks for welcoming the new seminary guys. We go to church with Wes at Christ Presbyterian in Flower Mound, TX. It is encouraging to see that he is getting such friendly and generous hospitality.
