Crayons are Bilingual

Yesterday Katie picked up a coloring book she found on the shelf on Ancient China. She showed it to me and asked if she could color in it. I told her that was fine. Excited, she said, “That’s great, because I can color in Chinese.”

    That reminds me of what my #2 daughter once said. She was scribbling in a notebook — line after line after line of gibberish. When I asked what she was writing, she said, “I’m writing in sign language.”
