I’m grading papers (verse quizzes, actually) for Craig. Per his instruction, I grade for word-perfect accuracy (fortunately for the kids, I don’t count off for spelling and grammar unless their mistakes really change the meaning of the verse – it happens sometimes).
Tonight’s verse is Genesis 2:24, and the quiz I’m grading right now indicates that one kid is heading for some serious marriage issues in his future. He wrote:
For this reason a man will become united to his father and mother and become one flesh.
Begin praying for his future wife now. Word-perfect matters – I have the proof.
Oh, that’s hilarious! Thanks for sharing!
I really should have posted some of the essay excerpts from when I was a teacher. Or at least saved them…
