I’m Sorry, But I’m Just Thinking of the Right Words to Say

Craig and Megan 80's

If you need a friend
Don’t look to a stranger
You know in the end
I’ll always be there
And when you’re in doubt
And when you’re in danger
Take a look all around
And I’ll be there
I’m sorry but I’m just thinking of the right words to say
I know they don’t sound the way I planned them to be
But if you wait around awhile I’ll make you fall for me
I promise, I promise you I will

Good times at last weekend’s 80’s party. Incidentally, this is one of the better pictures Craig and I have taken together. We’re living in the wrong decade.

I so agree. Craig ought to wear PINK regularly.
    And that hair!
Megan, after the 1950’s Christmas party in 2006 and now the 80’s look, you just might have been born a little late. These decades really “fit” you.
Your dad and I were actually ‘there’ and we didn’t look as good as you do. Well, we maybe pulled off the 1950’s, when Aunt Tee loaned us her 1956 Chevrolet for a party at church.

So funny, although a large part of me is rather disturbed that my teenage years are now considered a dress-up theme. Are we that old? Well, you’re not. Craig and I are.
Speaking of which, I’m finally getting around to scrapbooking the Eagle Lake years. I found some incriminating photos yesterday, and I’ve got a new scanner…

Yeah, I needed my old pair of oversized pink glasses. I also contemplated cutting bangs for this party – for about 5 seconds and then quickly decided I was so not willing to walk around with 80’s bangs for a year just for 2 hours worth of party.
As for teen years… mine overlapped late 80’s/early 90’s, so I was there. But my 80’s fashion memories are mostly of the kiddie ones like my big plastic charm necklaces, strawberry shortcake dolls, and jams and jellies. Had all that.
Photos? Be careful what you start, my friend. *grin*

i’m glad to see what you wore for an 80’s party. i would have had a hard time coming up with that. i think it has to do with the fact that i was a mother of kids who were teens in the 80’s-90’s and a lot of what happened was a blur:) i do remember the long curly hair and big tops (with shoulder pads). they weren’t the most flattering styles were they? ha! m

Totally awesome! The upturned collar is ESSENTIAL 80s. The only thing missing, Megan, are 14 inch tall bangs held in place with an entire can of Aquanet.
My kids had 80s Day at school last year. I felt so old.
