I wonder if it’s just b/c your girls are older now. It’s so much easier as they get older, in my opinion.
I’m so glad you guys had a good time! We had a great time on our camping trip, too. The weather was so nice!

Yeah, I think that has a lot to do with it. The weather was amazing this weekend too. Couldn’t have picked a better weekend for a first-time camping trip.
Mostly did great. Last night there was a site about three down from us occupied by two couples intent on drinking as much beer as possible from their R2D2 cooler. Also had a radio they played for a good portion of the night. Annoying, but we survived it. This morning I walked by and saw the two gals of that group looking completely wasted as they sat at their picnic table. Sure made the “fun” they had the night before seem not so appealing the next day. 🙂

Okay– here’s the bummer part:
When we left a bunch of stuff in your garage, some of it was a huge bin full of camping equipment. Which we don’t use– because Marcie and I both agreed that tent camping is simply not something either of us enjoy.
So, we would have gladly given it to y’all, if we had known.

Well, we kept it pretty simple this time – made hoboes and hotdogs (not on the same night). Hoboes – ground beef, sliced potatoes, carrots, and onions in foil, cooked on the fire. Needed some seasoning, though. Next time I’ll add some. 🙂

Oh, I’m so jealous of Missouri camping! Foil fold-ups, hot marshmallows falling off the stick, the morning dew, smoke-gets-in-your-eyes, a Dr. Pepper and a nature walk. Yep! I’m jealous!
