I’m not going to lie: 2012 was a hard year in many ways. And I’m not particularly looking to 2013 to redeem it. Yet I have to rest in the hope that God can redeem it and that He will. Here’s to 2013.

The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon – I think I have a new favorite author! And I LOVE being at the front end of a very long, very good book because it means it won’t end any time super soon for me. Perfection.

Finally! My friend, Kristen, designed this for me over a year ago and I had it printed right away, but not framed until a month ago. Craig hung it today. I. Love. It.

We ended up spending Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with my parents in Owasso. Oklahoma was supposedly supposed to get dumped on with snow today and being concerned we might get snowed in, we came back home this morning, arriving around 11:30. The girls had already opened their stockings at my parents’ house and so this was the 12:45pm snapshot before they opened it all. After that we went to see Les Miserables and… it. was. amazing. I have no good words to describe it other than I cried multiple times and I think having listened to the soundtrack multiple times before going to see the movie worked to my advantage.

Lots of Spit and Nertz going on here at the farm. Lots of good cousin time. Oh, and I may or may not get a little too competitive during card games and need to remove myself from said game… *grin*
