If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands (clap, clap)
If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands (clap, clap)
If you’re happy and you know it then your face will surely show it
If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands (clap, clap)
How many of us were sold the lie that the Christian life would be all smiles and happiness and Thomas Kincaid for the rest of our days? See my hand waving here? Somewhere along the way I bought into the idea that if I wasn’t happy, something was seriously screwed up inside me. Maybe (gasp) I wasn’t even really a Christian after all.
There is one truth and one lie in the above statement. I really am a Christian. Also, I really do have something screwed up inside me. It’s called my sin nature. I’m prone to wander. This is my journey. I’m not clapping my hands very often, but I have a peace that passes all understanding.
Sometimes that has to be enough.

This is a lovely, lovely description of faith — not clapping, but passing all understanding. π Your journey seems very honest and real, and just reading this quick “About” lifted my spirits today! Thanks for posting.
