Family Life

I ordered a really great toy for the girls’ main shared Christmas present this year and have been so excited about it. We had some Amazon gift certificates and I used those to buy it.

It came today and I was trying to stealthily take it out of the box and get it ready for Sunday with the batteries and all. There was so much tape and other assorted things holding the toy prisoner in the box including screws. There was a string too. At least I thought it was a string holding it in the box. I snipped it. It turns out that string was the connecting point between the stylus pen and the Pixter. I just cut it right off. Idiot.

Fisher Price said they would replace the item for me which is great and really nice of them. The only problem is that it takes four weeks to get the new one. Anyone want to break that news to my kiddos on Sunday? Sorry, girls, mommy was stupid and ruined your new toy before it was even out of the box and you can’t get another until February. Merry Christmas.

I don’t suppose there’s a “repairing permissions” button for me to push to fix this, is there, Ed?

Arrggghhhh!
